Our hopes and aspirations 7 Months ago
The final push for our emancipation begins with looking at the problems our country faces and dealing with the issues head on. Cultural awareness has nothing to do with how a country should be run, so should blocking progress be a sign of nationalist tendencies. If one has failed in something, you tend to sit back and ask oneself “Where have I failed, how can I make things better”.
Our debt crisis has been exacerbated by bad policies, corruption and more than ever no opposition. Were politicians made to answer for their actions our problems would be far less than what it is today. We must allow ourselves to be criticised at all levels or else we will fall in a hole of self contentment. The notion that sharing ideas is not on has bedevilled our country for years. We have a situation where a clash of ideologies has resulted in a complete stagnation of the economy, at a time when Zimbabwe has all the resources on earth to prosper. There are minds in Zimbabwe and outside who could fully implement strategies and methods into practice but are not being given the opportunity to do so.
Failure in a method will not mean an end to the world but a way to strategise better the next time around. Again you can not make the same mistake twice, we learn. Today in Zimbabwe the politicians must learn to take other peoples ideas on board and work with them. We are mere human beings under the watchful eye of the Almighty and learning to share ideas with others, who may or may not be on the same wavelength will allow for growth.
While there are those that feel alienated from the current process, they should not hold back the progress of our country. The catch phrase today is TEAMWORK and were they to lose their current positions today who would employ them tomorrow. Is this the reason for their actions .Hold on at any cost ,the people of Zimbabwe owe me . This is the attitude that persists in Zimbabwe and this selfishness has manifested itself in more ways than one. The people and politicians of Zimbabwe must fully realise that they all have a duty to make Zimbabwe one for all and not the other way.
To the people governing our beloved country, they should always remember that if the people come first ,then the country will follow and all else comes into place when all is good and well for everyone. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
